We are very happy to be up and running!
On Thursday 23rd of October, 15 partners’ representatives from across 8 European countries met at the NCSR “DEMOKRITOS” premises to kick off our Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) funded project CleanAlgae2Value!
Our project will build and operate a replicable “upgrading-module” to drastically enhance relevant biorefineries performance via a cost competitive, sustainable, and scalable microalgae fractionation and valorisation process for producing food grade, medium value, carbon negative ingredients that exceed market standards.
Our agenda had it all – time for all the partners to present their respective work and tasks within the project, enough breaks during the day for all teams to get to know each other, a tour at the Coordinator’s Solmeyea pilot plant facilities – soon to be a fully operating demonstration plant with the project’s funding and partners’ collaborative work – and an excellent dinner with a stunning Athens view.
A big thank you to our Project Officer from CBE JU Monica Padella who came to meet us and to guide us through the meticulous process we need to follow as a consortium to ensure the smooth management and implementation of the project.
