MULTIPLY
MULTIPLY is a Horizon Europe project focused on scaling up the production of sustainable microalgae-derived ingredients for bio-based industries. By optimising cultivation and biorefining processes, the project aims to make microalgae a cost-effective and scalable feedstock for Europe. Led by A4F Alga Fuel SA and bringing together 17 partners, MULTIPLY will develop 10 improved products from 5 microalgae species for food, feed, biomaterials, lubricants and cosmetics. The project runs from June 2025 to May 2029.
ALLIANCE
ALLIANCE is a Horizon Europe (CBE JU) project working to turn microalgae from a niche product into an affordable, everyday ingredient for Europe’s bioeconomy. It optimises four industrial microalgae strains, automates production and develops multi-product biorefineries that reuse nutrients and water from industrial side streams. This lowers costs, cuts resource use and waste, and supports sustainable scaling.
