Invited to Join the CBE JU Cluster Projects’ Workshop on Food & Feed

We were honoured to present and discuss our work during the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) Cluster Projects’ Workshop on Food & Feed this past week in Brussels!

Special thanks to Monica Padella, our project officer for inviting us and making sure our project was represented!

Diego Grumbach from our coordinating team at Solmeyea gave an overview of the project and Daniel de la Puente Ranea from our key partners in Spain, the National Centre for Food Technology and Safety CNTA, attended the workshop to share his expertise in the food sector.

As part of its mission, the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) funds innovative projects focused on developing and scaling up the production of biobased food and feed ingredients using agricultural, aquatic, biogenic CO₂, and other biomass sources. The workshop aimed to discuss and showcase the latest innovations and developments relevant to these markets.

The workshop provided a valuable opportunity for networking, fostering knowledge exchange, connections, and synergies among CBE JU-funded projects, HorizonEurope initiatives, and other projects supported through relevant EU funding mechanisms.

It also helped identify challenges and opportunities to accelerate the transition toward biobased solutions in the food and feed sectors, while encouraging exchanges with colleagues from the European Commission, other Executive Agencies, and Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC).
